This Privacy Policy explains how the Oink Chrome Extension (“Oink,” “we,” “our,” or “the Extension”) collects, uses, and protects data. We are committed to transparency and to giving you control over your data. By using the Extension, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Data We Collect
1.1 Data Collected Without Opt-In
If you use the Oink Extension without opting in to any data-sharing features, your product research data remains entirely on your device. The Extension processes Amazon product page information locally in your browser to provide product research tools, break-even calculations, and related features. None of that product research data is sent to our servers. The only server communication that occurs without opt-in is subscription verification, as described in Section 1.4.
1.2 Data Collected With Opt-In (Video Count Data Sharing)
If you choose to opt in to Video Count Data Sharing, the following data may be collected and sent to our servers:
Anonymous Contributor ID: A randomly generated identifier (UUID) assigned to your browser. This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally or connect you to your Amazon account. It is used only to associate voluntary submissions from the same browser for abuse prevention and system integrity.
Video-ASIN Pairs: Anonymous associations between video IDs and Amazon product ASINs, submitted together with your anonymous contributor ID. This data is used to estimate total influencer video counts for products.
Storefront Video Data: Video information from your Amazon storefront, including video IDs and associated product ASINs.
1.3 How Opt-In Data Is Collected
Data is shared with our servers only through specific, intentional user actions. There are three ways data may be submitted:
Agent Oink: When you run the Agent Oink product research process, video count data for the products being analyzed is submitted.
Deep Scan & Share: When you click the “Deep Scan & Share” button on a product page, the video data discovered during that scan is submitted.
Storefront Sync: Your storefront video data is shared when you use storefront-related features.
The Extension does not passively monitor your browsing activity. No data is collected or transmitted simply because you visit Amazon product pages or browse the web. Data sharing occurs only through the explicit actions listed above.
1.4 Subscription Verification
The Extension makes periodic calls to our server to verify your subscription status. For this purpose, limited account information, such as your email address or a license-related identifier, may be transmitted solely to confirm whether your subscription is active and which features should be enabled. This information may be processed through our payment or subscription provider only for verification purposes. It is not stored in our database and is not used for browsing analysis, product research tracking, advertising, or profiling. No browsing activity or product research information is transmitted during this process.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
Except as described in Section 1.4 for subscription verification, the Oink Extension does not collect, store, or transmit the following:
-
Your name or other personal identifying information
-
Your Amazon account credentials, login information, or session tokens
-
Your Amazon purchase history or order details
-
Your browsing history, search queries, or general web activity
-
Your IP address in our application database
-
Financial information such as payment methods or earnings data
-
Product research or video data from websites other than Amazon for the Video Count Data Sharing feature
The Video Count Data Sharing feature only submits Amazon-related video and storefront data.
3. How We Use Your Data
Anonymous video-related data collected from users who opt in is used for one purpose: building community-driven estimates of influencer video counts for Amazon products. When multiple users contribute video data for the same products, we can provide more accurate estimates of total influencer video competition and help users make better product research decisions.
The anonymous contributor ID is used only to monitor submission patterns, maintain system integrity, and prevent abuse. It is not used to identify you personally.
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. We disclose limited data to service providers only when necessary to operate the Extension, such as for subscription verification, and only for the purposes described in this policy.
Data collected through opt-in features is used exclusively within the Oink ecosystem to generate aggregated, anonymous video count estimates for the benefit of the Oink community.
We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than those described in this policy. We do not share data with analytics providers, ad networks, data brokers, or similar external services.
5. Data Storage and Security
Opt-in video count data is stored on secure servers. The data stored consists of anonymous video-related submission data, including video-ASIN associations, storefront video data, and related anonymous contributor records, and cannot be traced back to any individual user. We use reasonable technical measures to protect data in our possession from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
Local data, such as your preferences, storefront information, and cached product data, is stored in your browser using Chrome’s built-in storage APIs. This data remains on your device unless you explicitly opt in and trigger one of the data-sharing actions described above.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Opt Out at Any Time
You can disable Video Count Data Sharing at any time through the Extension. When you opt out, the Extension sends a deletion request for your anonymous contributor ID to our servers, and all data associated with that ID is removed from our database. If you want confirmation that your data has been removed, you may contact us using the information below.
No Account Required
The Extension does not require you to create a separate Oink account. Core extension functionality does not require personal information beyond any limited information needed for subscription verification.
Local Data Control
You can clear all locally stored Extension data at any time through your browser’s extension settings or by uninstalling the Extension.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Oink Extension is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through the Extension. The effective date at the top of this policy indicates when this policy was last updated.

OINK MEDIA KIT — PRIVACY POLICY
This section describes the privacy practices for the Oink Media Kit (“Media Kit”), a web-based tool that lets you build and share a one-page influencer profile with brands. The Media Kit is a separate product from the Oink Chrome Extension and the Oink Thumbs mobile app, and it works differently: it uses an account and stores the content you create on our servers so your kit can be saved and displayed at a public web address. By creating a Media Kit account or using the Media Kit, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Data We Collect
1.1 Account Information
To use the Media Kit, you create an account. You can sign in with either an email address and password or with Google sign-in. Authentication is handled by Supabase, a third-party authentication and database service. We receive the email address associated with your account, and — if you choose Google sign-in — the basic profile information Google provides for the purpose of signing you in. Passwords are never visible to us; they are stored only in hashed form by Supabase.
1.2 Media Kit Content You Provide
The Media Kit stores only the information you choose to enter into your kit. Depending on what you decide to include, this may consist of your name or creator name, profile photo, bio, social media handles and links, performance metrics, portfolio items, brand collaborations, content rates, and contact details. You decide what to add and what to leave out. This information is provided voluntarily and is stored so your kit can be saved and displayed.
1.3 Subscription Status
The Media Kit checks your Oink subscription status to determine how many kits you can create — free users can create one media kit, and Pro subscribers can create up to ten. For this purpose you may provide the email address tied to your Oink subscription, which is used solely to confirm whether that subscription is active. The Media Kit does not collect or store payment card numbers, billing addresses, or other payment details.
1.4 No Automatic or Passive Collection
The Media Kit does not collect data automatically. It does not track your browsing, monitor your activity, or gather information in the background. The only data we hold is the account information you sign up with and the content you intentionally enter into your kit.
2. Public Visibility of Your Media Kit
A published media kit is publicly accessible at its own web address (for example, mycard.to/yourname). Anything you include in a published kit — such as your photo, bio, metrics, links, rates, and contact details — can be viewed by anyone who has the link, and may be indexed by search engines. This is by design, so you can share your kit with brands. Please include only information you are comfortable making public. You can edit your kit at any time, and you can ask us to unpublish or remove it — see Section 7.
3. Data We Do Not Collect
Apart from the account information and kit content described in Section 1, the Oink Media Kit does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your Amazon account credentials, login information, or session tokens
- Your Amazon purchase history or order details
- Your browsing history, search queries, or general web activity
- Payment card numbers or billing details
- Any data for advertising, profiling, or tracking purposes
We do not combine your Media Kit information with data from the Oink Chrome Extension or the Oink Thumbs mobile app.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your account information so you can sign in and manage your kits. We use the content you enter to save your media kit and display it at its public web address. We use your subscription email only to determine how many kits your plan allows. We do not use your information for advertising, for marketing unrelated to your account, for profiling, or for sale to third parties.
5. Third-Party Services
The Media Kit relies on the following service providers to operate:
- Supabase — provides user authentication and the database where your account and kit content are stored. Supabase’s privacy policy: https://supabase.com/privacy
- Vercel — hosts the Media Kit web application. Vercel’s privacy policy: https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Google — if you choose Google sign-in, Google handles that authentication. Please refer to Google’s privacy policy for information on how it processes sign-in data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. These providers process data only as necessary to operate the Media Kit.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your account information and media kit content are stored on Supabase’s secure servers so your kit can be saved and served at its public web address. We use reasonable technical measures to protect this data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Passwords are stored only in hashed form and are never accessible to us.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Edit Your Kit: You can sign in and change or remove the information in your kit at any time using the Media Kit builder.
Unpublish or Delete a Kit, or Delete Your Account: To take a kit offline, delete a kit, or delete your account and have your associated account and kit data removed from our database, contact us using the information below and we will process your request. If you would like confirmation once it is done, let us know and we will follow up.
Manage Sign-In: If you used Google sign-in, you can manage or revoke that connection through your Google account settings.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Oink Media Kit is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Section
We may update this section from time to time to reflect changes in the Media Kit’s features or practices. If we make significant changes, we will notify users. The effective date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last updated.
