My Amazon influencer videos keep disappearing from carousels that still have open slots, and I am not the only one seeing it. Here is exactly what I have noticed, what I tested, and what I think it might mean for how you do product research.

What Started This
A friend told me her videos were dropping off product pages even though the carousels were not full. I did not think much of it, and then it happened to me. I uploaded three videos on a product I actually used and demonstrated, and each one showed up for about a day before vanishing.
What Happened When I Deleted and Re-Uploaded
Naturally I tried the obvious fix: deleting the videos and uploading them again. I share the results in the video. The key takeaway is that the usual fixes did not clearly solve it, which is what made me start digging into possible causes.
Could Category Performance Be a Factor?
A couple of months ago I talked about creator grading and category performance changes. I wonder if this connects. I cannot prove it, and I am not claiming Amazon is blocking anyone on purpose, but it is a pattern worth watching if your videos are vanishing too.
What This Means for Product Research
This is the part that matters most for Oink users. If a carousel shows open slots, it may not actually be open to you. When you are researching products, an open carousel is a good sign, but it is not a guarantee.
- Do not assume an open slot means your video will stay up.
- Track which of your videos stick and which disappear, and look for patterns by category.
- Diversify across several products rather than betting on a single carousel.
Oink for Influencers helps you find carousels with room so you can spend your time on the products with the best chance.
